1971 Mach I Mustang

I purchased by 71 Ford Mustand in 2001 all original.  It  was in need of paint and restoring but with its life in Texas, it still had original floor, panels and doors.  The engine is a 351 Cleveland and 350 9″ rear axle gears.  Motor rebuilt with friend Russ Purnell this was the first for us both for a Ford engine.  We rebuilt the engine after having Bord .040 also finding it has the high performance heads and cam with factory ram air option.  The carb is a Holley 750 double pumper has power steering and manual shoe brakes.  i spend hours on the internet finding original parts and paint codes to keep the car original.  I did all the prep work for painting by hand as car was all there made it easy.  The car was first painted by Ray Drazer because I wasn’t familiar with enable paint.  The color is light pewter poly with black on lower and hood.  Black Mach 1 decals under the clear coat.  I have since repainted car as for some areas were not to my satisfaction.
